Others will stay with us through our "Promises Made " program due to chronic health issues and/or behavioral problems. To see updates, please follow the Hail Mary Rescue Facebook page.
Our Mission "Moving Heaven and Earth to Improve the Lives of Shelter Animals”
Hail Mary Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit Animal Rescue run strictly by support of your generosity. We receive no government assistance.
TOGETHER WE MAKE IT BETTER.
It’s not just a saying, it’s our creed and philosophy.
Our focus right now is saving dogs from Southeast Louisiana animal shelters. Especially the injured, fearful and HW positive dogs. Our ultimate goal is to establish low cost spay/neuter clinics in as many areas as possible by partnering with other 501c nonprofits who want to see the same. We will continue to help in rural areas when called upon, help set up other reputable animal rescues with transport connections to areas where low volume in animal shelters are located. We will continue to answer the call of animals in need by working side by side with our Southeast Louisiana shelter managers. All dogs pulled from shelters by Hail Mary Rescue are fully vetted, treated for any injuries they might have and put into compatible foster homes before adopting. HMR is run by a board of directors with over 60 years of combined animal rescue experience.

All of our dogs for adoption receive excellent vet care - vaccinations, worming, heartworm treatment (if necessary), and is spayed or neutered. Each dog is placed in a foster home where they become adoption-ready. Fosters make sure the dogs are well socialized. They also work on crate and house training.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
Lots of companies offer matching donations programs. This is an excellent way to provide financial support to Hail Mary's dogs on a regular basis.
